Your Room Code

Mar Bella uses door locks with numeric keypads. To open the doors use your 4-digit personal access code. Your code will be sent to you prior to your arrival. Enter your code on the keypad and wait a few seconds for the door to unlock. The door will automatically lock again after a few seconds.

Contactless Check-In

There's no need to check-in with hotel staff when you arrive. Feel free to let yourself into your room anytime after your designated check-in time. Please let us know if you require assistance with your luggage. Your room code will not work before your check-in time. If you require early check-in you may purchase it here.

Departure Day

Your room code will not work after your check-out time. We'll send you a message on the morning of your check-out with specific instructions. If you require late check-out you may purchase it here.

About Your Room

You have booked the Sandpiper Room at Mar Bella. To get to your room enter the hotel through the COURTYARD ENTRANCE door, and proceed through the hallway into the Courtyard. Follow the sidewalk until you come to the entrance archway with a sign that says "Sandpiper".

Your room has everything you will need for a comfortable stay, including two queen-size beds with fresh, clean linens. We also supply towels, washcloths and various bath supplies. There is a closet with hangers and a luggage rack, as well as your Mar Bella robes. There's a large bathroom with a double sink and a full shower. The shower has hooks for hanging wet bathing suits to dry.

Your Beds

Your beds feature premium memory foam mattresses which would be considered by most to be medium firmness.

Room Temperature

Your room has its own dedicated heating and air conditioning system. You will find a thermostat control on the wall that you can use to adjust the room temperature to your liking. Here are some instructions on how to use the thermostat, in case you need it.

The Coffee Bars

There are two coffee bars on premises. One is on the second floor landing in the main building, and the other is in the Mar Bella Market. Please feel free to use whichever one is most convenient to your room location. Both coffee bars feature free Starbucks coffee, a variety of teas and sweeteners, and to-go cups with lids. There is also a hot/cold water dispenser and microwave.

Ice

Our ice maker is located in the Mar Bella Market. Ice is free for guests.

Mar Bella Market

The Mar Bella Market is open from 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM daily. Here you can find snacks, drinks, ice cream, travel necessities, and more!

Outdoor Showers

There are two luxurious outdoor showers with hot water in front of the building for our guests to use anytime. There are towels in a bin next to the showers, and shower gel, shampoo and conditioner in each shower. Please place towels in the laundry bin when finished. There is also a garden hose on the back of the showers that can be used for rinsing feet, beach chairs, etc. Mar Bella guests may use the showers after checkout time.

There are also two solar-heated showers in the courtyard you can use to rinse before or after the pool, hot tub or sauna.

Outdoor Rec Areas

There is a large outdoor space in front of the main building with hammocks, a fire pit, picnic tables, adirondack chairs and other furniture for guests to use. In the courtyard guests will find the pool, the hot tub (in the large gazebo), lounge chairs, tables with umbrellas and shady lounge areas. A bathroom and water cooler are accessible in the courtyard.

Pool

The pool is located in the courtyard. To get into the courtyard, use your room code to open the COURTYARD ENTRANCE door on the front left of the main house, and go through the hallway into the courtyard. The pool is open during May 1 through September 30 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 PM.

Hot Tub

The hot tub is located in the courtyard in the Grand Gazebo. To get into the courtyard, use your room code to open the COURTYARD ENTRANCE door on the front left of the main house, and go through the hallway into the courtyard. The hot tub is open year-round from 9:00 AM to 10:00 PM. If you find the hot tub cover on, please contact the host and he will remove it. Please don't try to remove it yourself as it's very heavy. There are instructions posted at the hot tub on how to turn the jets and lights on or off. The hot tub can easily accomodate up to 6 people. The temperature is maintained at 102-103 degrees farenheit. Please shower before entering the hot tub

Sauna

The Himalayan salt sauna is located in the courtyard in the sauna building. To get into the courtyard, use your room code to open the COURTYARD ENTRANCE door on the front left of the main house, and go through the hallway into the courtyard. The sauna is available year-round from 9:00 AM to 10:00 PM. Please notify the host 30 minutes before you want to use the sauna so we can ensure it's heated up and ready for you.

Parking

Mar Bella has a private, free parking area for our guests in front of the main building. 

NOTE: Only normal sized cars and trucks are allowed to park in our lot. If you have an oversized vehicle, such as an RV or trailer, please contact the host before your arrival to ensure parking is available for your vehicle.

EV Chargers

Mar Bella features two level-2 electric vehicle chargers in our parking lot. These chargers are available for guests only. The cost is $1.90/hour. If you don't already have it, you will need to install the Blink app on your cell phone to use the chargers. Please only park in the EV charger spots if you are actively charging your vehicle.

House Rules

For the comfort and safety of all our guests, we ask that our house rules be strictly observed. Violation of any of the house rules will be grounds for immediate termination of the reservation and removal from the property without refund.

1. The guest who booked the room must provide a cell number and will have a working cell phone available at all times in case the host needs to make contact for any reason.

2. No unregistered guests are allowed. All guests must be declared on the reservation. There will be an additional fee of $40 per day for any guests beyond the number declared in the reservation.

3. An additional charge of $100 will be levied on guests who leave the property in an unusually unclean state (i.e. beyond how a normal, courteous guest would leave the property). For example: if walls are dirty and need to be treated, or an excessive amount of trash is left on the premises, or the floor is unusually wet or stained.

4. Only the person that booked the reservation is allowed to check-in.

5. No parties or events are allowed.

6. No smoking of any kind, including vaping, inside any building on the property. When smoking occurs in any part of a building it means our housekeeping staff has to put in substantial extra time and effort to clean everything to make it ready for the next guests. There is a hard cost associated with this. Therefore, guests who smoke inside any structure on the property will be charged a $250 cleaning fee for each day of their stay. Smoking is allowed in the designated smoking areas behind the sauna building and front yard only.

7. No pets are allowed on the property.

8. No children under the age of 13 are allowed.

9. Quiet times are from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM. Please keep noise and movement to a minimum so other guests can sleep.

10. Late checkout fee:
- Guests who are still on the premises up to 30 minutes after checkout will be charged a $75 late checkout fee.
- Guests who are still on the premises up to 2 hours after checkout will be charged for an additional day (base rate without discounts). This does NOT award the guest possession of the room for an additional day.

11. Guests must take care of the rooms and furnishings. You have to pay for damages that exceed the security deposit.

12. Please don't rearrange the furniture.

13. No illegal substances are allowed on the premises.

14. Firearms are prohibited anywhere on hotel property.

15. Any kind of food cooking/preparation in the room is prohibited.

16. If a guest has a complaint about any aspect of the property, amenities, cleanliness or otherwise, upon addressing this complaint to Airbnb, Vrbo or the host you are authorizing the host to enter the property to solve the issue by fixing, repairing, cleaning or otherwise solving the problem until the property meets the standards that the guest requested.

17. Guests will follow all city, county, state and federal laws.

18. No mail or packages of any kind will be accepted for guests at Mar Bella. Any mail or packages received will be opened and disposed of without notice. Mar Bella, its owners and staff will not be held liable in any way for missing or disposed mail or packages.

19. Pool, sauna and hot tub hours are from 9:00 AM to 10:00 PM. No glass containers are allowed near the pool or hot tub. No diving allowed in pool. The hotel manager reserves the right to close the pool or hot tub at any time for any reason.
